The final rounds of the Spanish Speed Cup were held at the Circuito de Navarra last weekend, with champions crowned in several categories during the series’ first event on the remodelled layout.
Paco Morales was crowned champion of the premier Superbike category of the Spanish Cup after a perfect weekend, with a standout performance from the first practice onwards. He sealed the title in Sunday’s race, with his nearest rivals hitting trouble while another faultless performance saw Morales claim victory.
In the Superbike Master 40 Division, Félix Rodríguez was crowned champion while Jonathan Rastrero secured the race victory.
Colombian Juan Esteban Rivera claimed the Supersport title with second place in the final race of the season, being passed just a couple of laps from the end of the race by Jordi Losada.
Juan Francisco Risueño secured the honours in the SSP300 series, after a thrilling race. Entering the event with a strong advantage at the top of the standings, he was part of a five-rider fight for the race victory, ultimately finishing third but still having enough in hand to wrap up the title.
Aitor González and Víctor Cubelles were winners in the two Moto5 contests, while Daniel Sáez triumphed in the BMW RR Iberia Cup.
Carlos Blanco was confirmed as the Handy 1000 category, his third national title, while Antonio Montoya wrapped up the Handy 600 championship.
Finally, Manuel Sagarra took the ESBK Legends Spanish Cup honours, SBK 750 Legends went the way of Juan C Rosa, and Alfonso Herrero secured the SSP600 Legends series.
