The stars of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship have reacted extremely positively to the circuit layout changes at Circuito de Navarra, during the series’ opening R&G Official Test of the pre-season this week.

Bennetts BSB has returned to the venue for the first time since a multi-million Euro redevelopment plan was completed in 2024, including the creation of a faster and more flowing track layout.

The UK’s leading motorcycle racing championship previously raced and tested on a version of the circuit which included high-speed combination through Turn 5 and Turn 6, but without the inclusion of an all-new sequence of corners in the latter half of the lap. The new section of circuit, including a new straight, hairpin and fast direction changes was finished late last summer.

Here is what some of the Bennetts BSB contenders had to say about the circuit following their experience of the completed project:

Josh Brookes: “It’s more natural and flowing. It’s definitely an improvement on what they had before.”

Lee Jackson: “The nature of the new circuit is a lot more fast and flowing and something I really enjoy so it’s definitely made the lap a more enjoyable experience.”

Davey Todd: “Honestly I love it. It’s completely changed the feel of the entire circuit. It just makes the track flow so much better and yeah. I honestly love it.”

Peter Hickman: “It’s made a big difference to the track and it’s much more enjoyable to ride. And actually probably made more passing places as well. Overall? Positive from me.”

Danny Kent: It’s quite quirky. There’s some camber so you can run in really deep but then the exit it drop so quite a lot so it’s a good corner and there’s two ways you can approach it. I’m happy with it.”
